DoubleHelix Purpose Statement 2021-22

Why we do what we do

Forests and natural habitats are essential to our future; their protection, restoration and management are fundamental to mitigate the effects of climate change. At the same time, many wood and agro-based products are better than carbon-intensive, environmentally damaging materials, but only when sourced from responsibly managed areas.

We work with companies that believe the same, helping them develop positive supply chains, grow market share, and thereby displace illegal, unsustainable, and harmful alternatives.

How we do it

We help companies assess and mitigate risk in their supply chains, demonstrating best-practice due diligence through supply chain transparency and traceability back to origin. With a comprehensive understanding of their product’s journey from beginning to end, we help communicate its broader environmental and social value on behalf of our clients, to their customers and the wider market.

What we deliver

DX in-country teams engage and work with our client’s supply chains, improving factory and sourcing practices to meet regulatory requirements, responsible purchasing policies and growing expectations of legality, corporate social responsibility, and sustainability.

We work with a selected network of partners across science and technology, enabling us to apply the latest, most effective tools and methods to collect, analyse, and verify supply chain data in order to assess and mitigate risk.

Verified evidence and data are securely hosted, respecting confidentiality but enabling the confident communication of findings both internally to help decision-making, and externally to demonstrate regulatory compliance, support investor reporting, and transform marketing.

Through the use of our services, our clients build assurance in their supply chains, trust with their customers, access to better investment, and greater market share.
